Meet Annie
I’m Annie Jenkins Smith, founder and principal designer of annie jenkins smith studio.
For nearly a decade, I’ve worked on residential and mixed-use projects throughout the Southeast, developing an approach that balances thoughtful design with the realities of how a home is built and lived in. I founded the studio in 2024, and since then I’ve focused on guiding clients through the entire process.
I’m drawn to homes that feel as though they belong: to their setting, to their architectural context, and most importantly, to the people who live there. That may mean designing a new home around a beautiful view, preserving the most meaningful parts of an existing house, or creating an addition that feels original rather than added on.
My own home and studio sit on five acres bordering Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills. Living and working here has made me so aware of the relationship between a home and its land—the movement of light, the character of the landscape, and the quiet details that shape how a place feels over time.
I work throughout Serenbe, Chattahoochee Hills, the greater Atlanta area, Lake Oconee, and across the Southeast.
When I’m not designing, I’m usually at home with my husband, Jes, and our dog, Ruger. I love working in the garden, walking the trails around Serenbe, or dreaming up the next project for our own property. Designing and building our home has given me an even deeper appreciation for what my clients experience: the excitement, the uncertainty, and how meaningful it is to watch a place you imagined become part of your everyday life.
